Pests and Varmints

White Tailed Deer

Not only a pest in the garden eating your prized plants but now a danger on highways and roads.  In 1995, Conover, et al. estimated that there are more than 1 million deer-vehicle collisions (DVCs) in the United States annually, and more than 200 human deaths are attributed to these events.

Ants
Ants are among the most prevalent pests in households.  Ants belong to the insect order Hymenoptera and are close relatives of bees and wasps.  They are familiar insects that are easily recognized, especially in their common wingless adult forms, known as workers.  Winged forms of ants, which leave the nest in large numbers in warm weather to mate and establish new colonies, are often mistaken for winged termites.

Gnats
Those pesky little critters that fly into your eyes and ears are actually tiny flies. They can make any journey into your yard miserable.

Ground Hog or Woodchuck
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck…
The real question is how many plants and flowers will the woodchuck eat if you let them run around in your yard?

Yellowjackets

Squirrels or tree rats

Moles

Mosquitoes
